She gave this ruling while presiding over the session of the Balochistan Assembly held, here on Monday. Speaking on point of order, Pashtoonkhawa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) MPA, Syed Liaquat Ali Agha said that he deposited a sum from the development funds with the Qesco for installation of electricity transformers and pylons in his constituency, adding that despite passage of two and half year, no development was made to provide electricity to the areas, for which, the funds were given to Qesco.
He demanded that the chief of Qesco be summoned in Balochistan Assembly as the government had been giving Rs 17 billion subsidy to Qesco while its performance was disappointed. National Party, MPA, Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch said that the same situation was reported in his constituency where Qesco was not taking measures to provide electricity to the areas which were deprived of the facility.
PkMAP MPA, Nasrullah Khan Zeeray said that water supply scheme could not be made functional in his constituency due to non-availability of electricity transformer. Another MPA of PkMAP also criticised Qesco for not responding to the proposals of the parliamentarians. Chief Minister, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri suggested to the Speaker Balochistan Assembly to summon Qesco chief in the session of the assembly on January 14. Responding to the Chief Minister's suggestion, the Speaker gave ruling to summon the Qesco chief. Later, the house was adjourned till January 14.
